MINI Service Technician Education Program (STEP)

MINI is a leader in automotive design and technology. To maintain its leadership role and to meet the demand for skilled technicians, MINI USA has chosen the Custom Training Group (“CTG”) division of UTI as a provider of its Service Technician Education Program (STEP). This Manufacturer Specific Advanced Training (“MSAT”) program is designed to develop the highest quality service technicians for MINI dealers throughout North America.

MINI-specific training.

MINI STEP provides you with everything you need to get started on a career as a MINI technician. In this intensive 10-week program you’ll get in-depth training with some of the most advanced automotive technology and work on the latest MINI Hardtop, Clubman and Convertible models, including the Cooper, Cooper S and even the 208-HP John Cooper Works variants. You’ll learn under the guidance of MINI-certified instructors, and you’ll graduate as a MINI Level One Technician, which places you years ahead of other entry-level MINI technicians.

By-invitation-only training.

MINI STEP is a prestigious and highly selective CTG/UTI Manufacturer-Specific Advanced Training program that’s designed to provide major manufacturers with high-caliber, exceptionally skilled technician candidates. This program isn’t for everyone. You have to apply for admission, and only a select few are chosen to enroll.

MINI picks up the tab.

MINI STEP training is provided at no cost to enrolled students. Your tuition is paid by MINI USA and the hiring MINI dealer, so all you have to do is strive for top performance while learning MINI automotive technologies in preparation for a great future as a MINI Level I service technician.

MINI STEP training is offered at the MINI Training Center in Orlando, Florida.
