GAME Time Report May 2011 - Eli Keifenheim
As campus Registrar, Marianne Oliver, filtered through the prospective students who are approaching graduation, she happily found one student in particular who stood out among the rest. This student, is 20 year old Eli Keifenheim, he enrolled in the Automotive/Diesel Industrial Program with a Ford elective. Attributed to his degree were a long list of awards and honors.

Interview with Michael McAfee, Technical Team Leader for the Toyota TPA Program in Exton, PA

Who are you? Michael McAfee, Technical Team Leader TAPT UTI Exton. I graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology (TTEN School) with associates degrees in Automotive Technology and Automotive service Management specializing in Toyota. Before coming to UTI in May of 2005 I worked for Toyota, Chrysler and Snap-on Tools.

GAME Time May 2011 - Fast Track to Success - BMW
When Leonard Howard of Albuquerque, New Mexico, attended school at the UTI campus in Avondale, Arizona, he approached it like he did everything in his life. He was never late and never missed a day of classes all while working two jobs to pay for his education. According to him, it was that determination and hard working attitude, coupled with his 3.9 grade point average that encouraged him to continue his training and enroll in the BMW Fast Track elective program after graduation.

Who are you? Matt Franchetti, Mercedes-Benz STARt instructor. I will have been teaching at UTI for six years this July. I have been working in the automotive field for 26 years mainly as a technician but have held positions, such as service manager, shop owner, and technical trainer. I have also worked in the insurance industry. I am married and have two children, five and three.

May 2011 - Ford FACT Training Update
The Facts on Ford - Training Updated to Offer Latest and Greatest

UTI’s original elective training program, the Ford Accelerated Credential Training (FACT) program, has been training students for careers at Ford service departments around the nation since 2000. Each year, approximately 1,800 technicians graduate from the 15-week elective, specializing in Ford Motor Company curriculum, vehicles and diagnostic equipment.

Howard Slade, Technical Team Leader, Nissan, NTI. I’ve been a technician for 25 years; my Father was a technician before me. I’m a Graduate of Teterboro School of Aeronautics. I have previously worked for US Airways for 18 years and am an Aircraft Certified Technician. I worked for Nissan for many years and have been a shop foreman, service writer and advisor.

GAME Time April 2011 - Focusing on the FACTS
Zach Watkins has always had his sights set on a career in the automotive industry. He attended UTI’s Houston, Texas, campus for his automotive and diesel education and continued on at the campus for a 15-week Ford FACT elective. FACT is Ford’s Accelerated Credential Training program which gives students hands-on training on Ford vehicles and prepares them for service technician employment in Ford and Lincoln dealerships.
