Diesel Mechanic Training in Houston, TX
Do you love working on big engines? In the 11-month Diesel Technology program, your courses will dive into truck brakes and chassis, diesel engines and fuel systems, transport refrigeration and much more.7 Upon completion of the program, you’ll earn a diploma and will be prepared to test for ASE certification.
Auto Body Repair Training in Houston, TX
The Collision Repair & Refinish Technology (CRRT) program is designed to equip you with the skills needed to manipulate and shape metal using specialist custom equipment, weld steel and aluminum, create your own designs with specialist colors in custom paint, and much more. We have more than 7,000 square feet dedicated to Ford FACT, where you can earn up to 12 of Ford’s STST credentials. In our 2,000-square-foot Cummins Engines diesel training lab, you have the opportunity to train on Cummins engines,13 earning certifications on all Cummins MidRange and heavy-duty engines, as well as all current Cummins systems.46

UTI follows a blended-learning model, which includes a mix of online instructor-led training with hands-on application in the lab.18 This type of training is modeled after what’s used in the industry today and can provide more flexibility for students.
In addition, UTI offers programs that follow a fully hands-on learning model. They include Airframe & Powerplant, CNC Machining, Collision Repair & Refinish, HVACR, Industrial Maintenance, Non-Destructive Testing, Robotics & Automation, Welding, and Wind Power.
While not separate classes, math and science aligned with the learning skills are incorporated into the course teachings, along with industry terminology that technicians need to succeed.
No, our curriculum does not require prior experience and is specifically designed to teach the skills necessary to pursue a career as a entry-level technician.
Graduates earn either a diploma or Associate in Occupational Studies (AOS) degree, depending on the program and campus, with the possibility of additional credentials.
