CORE PROGRAMS AT UTI EXTON
Automotive Mechanic Training in Exton, PA
In the Automotive Technology program at UTI Exton, which is about 35 miles northwest of Philadelphia, students can learn everything from simple engine systems to electronic systems and technology. Graduates earn a diploma and will be prepared to test for ASE certification.
Diesel Mechanic Training in Exton, PA
In the 45-week Diesel Technology program, students can learn the fundamentals of engine service and repair, brake systems and chassis, preventative maintenance and much more.7 Graduates of the core program earn a diploma and are prepared to complete exams for ASE certification.
Welding Training in Exton, PA
With UTI’s Welding Technology Training program, students can train for the industry in less than nine months. Developed in conjunction with Lincoln Electric, courses cover everything from welding safety guidelines to pipe welding and various types of welding processes.
Robotics & Automation Training in Exton, PA
Students interested in innovation and technology should explore the Robotics & Automation Technician program. This 51-week program gives students the opportunity to learn about a range of topics relevant to both the robotics and automation industries, including 3D design and manufacturing, applied physics and precision measuring and computer-aided design.

START YOUR ASE CERTIFICATION
Graduates of UTI’s Automotive or Diesel programs, which are accredited by the ASE Education Foundation, can substitute their training for one of the two years of work experience required to test for ASE certification.16

UTI Exton also offers an associate in specialized technology (AST) degree to graduates of the 75-week Automotive/Diesel & Industrial Technology program who also complete five general education online courses.

- UTI Exton’s Automotive and Diesel programs follow a blended learning model, which includes a mix of online instructor-led training with hands-on application in the lab.18 This type of training is modeled after what’s used in the industry today and can provide more flexibility for students.
