With 37 models, Suzuki has one of the largest four-stroke lineups in the marine industry. This Suzuki manufacturer-specific outboard technician training is an integral part of the curriculum at Universal Technical Institute, which can help you prepare for a career as a Suzuki outboard mechanic.1

The Suzuki manufacturer-specific outboard technician training is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue a career as a Suzuki outboard mechanic. This specialized training focuses on modern Suzuki Marine technologies, including precision fuel injection, Lean Burn Control, advanced cooling systems, and digital engine controls.

This course is designed to give graduates a competitive edge in the marine industry, ensuring they are prepared to meet the demand for skilled Suzuki outboard mechanics.

3 weeks

The Suzuki-specific training portion is one three-week course of the 51-week Marine Technician Specialist and 60-week Marine & Diesel Technician Training programs.

WHAT YOU'LL BE TAUGHT

Students will engage in hands-on training with Suzuki outboard engines, learning essential maintenance, diagnostics and repair techniques.18 The curriculum covers key topics such as troubleshooting electrical and fuel systems, understanding Suzuki’s electronic control modules (ECMs), and performing factory-recommended service procedures.

Through real-world simulations and training with industry-standard tools, students gain the confidence and practical experience necessary to work in Suzuki-certified service centers, marinas or independent repair shops.
