Our 36-week welding training program is in Lisle, IL, just outside Chicago. To develop the curriculum, the industry professionals and UTI collaborated with Lincoln Electric – a leader in the manufacturing and design of welding technology. Not only has this helped us provide students with an industry-aligned education, but it’s also assisted us in building labs that mirror the working environments seen in the field.

Students practice with industry-standard tools and technologies that build and sharpen their skill sets. For instance, students use VRTX® welders – a virtual welding machine that simulates common scenarios, allowing them to build confidence before progressing to more advanced equipment.

Our welding school in Lisle teaches students the four main types of arc welding, preparing them to pursue careers in a number of industries. Upon completing the following welding courses, students receive diplomas and can begin their search for entry-level roles.

The Automotive training program at Lisle equips students with automotive maintenance, repair and diagnostic skills in just 51 weeks.7 Upon completion, graduates earn diplomas and can leverage their education by substituting it for one of the two years of hands-on experience required to test for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification.18

Diesel Training

Our 45-week Diesel training program was developed with help from industry leaders and includes courses relevant to the current field, such as Vehicle Electronic Systems and Technology and Diesel Engines Service and Repair.7 Graduates are awarded diplomas and fulfill one of the two years of hands-on experience required to test for ASE certification.

Industrial Maintenance Training
