Looking for automotive training in the greater Chicago metropolitan area? UTI Lisle offers the 51-week Automotive Technology core program, as well as a variety of manufacturer-specific programs.⁷ In our core training program, students are taught a strong foundation of automotive knowledge — everything from diagnostics and drivability to power and performance. You'll also build skills important to the modern market with electric vehicle training. By the end of their training, they are prepared to test to become ASE certified.

The UTI Lisle campus also offers the 45-week Diesel & Industrial Technology program.⁷ In this program, students are taught the fundamentals of truck brakes and chassis, preventive maintenance, diesel fuel systems, transportation refrigeration and more. From there, they can decide to continue their training with manufacturer-specific programs for top brands like Peterbilt,¹⁵ and Freightliner.¹¹

Students can complete UTI’s Welding Technology program in just 36 weeks. At our Lisle campus, they train using industry-standard tools and technology, including VRTEX^® virtual welders. Developed in conjunction with Lincoln Electric, our curriculum is designed to teach them four different welding processes in order to become a combination welder.

UTI Lisle offers the Electrical & Industrial Maintenance Technology program, which can be completed in as little as 10 months. Students learn about electrical systems, automation technology and industrial maintenance while building skills in troubleshooting, controls, robotics and mechanical systems used in modern industrial environments.

The Electrical, Robotics & Automation Technology program at UTI Lisle combines electrical fundamentals with robotics and automation training. Students learn about topics such as industrial robotics, programmable logic controllers, instrumentation and control, networking and automation systems while developing hands-on technical skills.

Interested in renewable energy? UTI Lisle's Electrical & Wind Turbine Technology program teaches students electrical fundamentals before introducing wind turbine operations, maintenance and renewable energy technology. Training covers topics such as electrical theory, controls, wind turbine components and climb and rescue procedures.

The Electrical, Electronics, & Industrial Technology program at UTI Lisle introduces students to the electrical and electronic systems used across a variety of industries. Coursework covers electrical theory, wiring, troubleshooting, electronics, controls and related technologies while helping students build foundational technical skills through hands-on training.¹³⁰
