Automotive Mechanic Training
The 51-week automotive mechanic training program in Long Beach covers topics ranging from Automotive Powertrains & Transmissions to Advanced Technology/Hybrid & Service Advising.7 Through a combination of instructor-led online training and hands-on practice in our labs, students are prepared to test for ASE certification and pursue entry-level auto tech positions upon graduating.1
Collision Repair Training
The collision repair training program at UTI Long Beach offers two programs ranging from 51 to 54 weeks long — Collision Repair and Refinish Technology or Collision Repair and Refinish Technology + Estimating. Both were created in conjunction with industry-leader I-CAR and grant students the opportunity to earn I-CAR credentials!
Diesel Mechanic Training
Our diesel mechanic training program helps students develop skills that are in demand across various industries, ranging from power generation to agriculture. For 45 weeks, students learn to service and repair several types of diesel-powered equipment and can graduate with knowledge that will prepare them to test to become ASE certified.7
Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Training
The airframe and powerplant training program, coming to Long Beach pending FAA approval, doesn’t require any previous experience. In just 18 months, students learn how to perform routine maintenance on aircraft per FAA standards and graduate prepared to apply and test for FAA certification and pursue an entry-level position in the field.79
