WIND TURBINE SCHOOL NEAR MISSOURI CITY, TX: START YOUR LEARNING JOURNEY

Located in Houston, Universal Technical Institute is a Texas trade school dedicated to providing education and training to prepare students for in-demand wind energy careers.¹ After seven months, our wind turbine school graduates are prepared to apply for entry-level wind turbine technician roles.

The Wind Turbine Technician program at UTI Houston is designed for those wanting career training in the renewable energy industry. While enrolled, students have access to industry-aligned equipment and technology to help them learn wind turbine maintenance, diagnosis and repair. Graduates earn diplomas.

Earning wind turbine training credentials can prepare you for a career that is both impactful and fulfilling, all while championing environmental sustainability.

Skilled wind turbine technicians are in demand. In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts more than 1,000 estimated average annual wind turbine technician job openings in the United States.⁶⁹

Wind turbine training grads are prepared to become entry-level wind turbine technicians or other entry-level roles such as:

• Wind turbine technician.
• Installation technician.
• Field service technician.

As with any industry, over time, wind turbine technicians may be able to advance their careers with experience and hard work.⁷⁷ Here are a few examples of advanced wind technology careers:

• Troubleshooting technician.
• LOTO I & II specialist.
• Wind farm support specialist.
• Electrical engineer.
• Environmental engineer.
• Materials engineer.
