PROGRAMS OFFERED AT UTI NEAR PLANO
Automotive Technology
Gain hands-on automotive training through UTI’s 51-week Automotive Technology program.7 Graduates from our automotive school earn associate of occupational studies (AOS) degrees.
Diesel Technology
UTI Dallas/Fort Worth’s Diesel Technology program teaches students to diagnose, repair and maintain diesel equipment over the course of 45 weeks.7 Graduates from our diesel mechanic school earn diplomas.
Welding Technology
Students in UTI Dallas/Fort Worth’s Welding Technology program learn about four main arc welding processes and improve their welding skills over the course of just 36 weeks. Graduates from our welding school earn diplomas.
SPECIALIZED TRAINING AT UTI NEAR PLANO
After completing the core Diesel program, students can apply to further their education with Manufacturer-Specific Advanced Training. The MSAT program offered at UTI Dallas/Fort Worth provides brand-specific training with Peterbilt, a leader in the industry.15

Follow these steps to get to UTI’s trade school, which is located in Irving:
- Get on US-75 South (1 mile).
- Head west on East 15th Street toward K Avenue (0.6 miles).
- Use the left lane to turn left onto North Central Expressway (0.1 miles).
- Use the left lane to take the ramp onto US-75 South (0.2 miles).
- Follow US-75 South and I-635 West to Freeport Parkway in Coppell. Take Exit 34 from I-635 West (22.4 miles).
- Merge onto US-75 South (6.9 miles).
- Use the right three lanes to take Exit 21 to merge onto I-635 West (15.3 miles).
- Take Exit 34 for Freeport Parkway (0.2 miles).
- Keep right at the fork and merge onto Freeport Parkway (125 feet).
- Follow Freeport Parkway and Regent Boulevard to your destination in Irving (1.1 miles).
- Merge onto Freeport Parkway (0.5 miles).
- Turn right onto Regent Boulevard (0.2 miles).
- Continue straight to stay on Regent Boulevard (0.1 miles).
- Continue straight to stay on Regent Boulevard (0.2 miles).
- Turn right (69 feet).
- Turn left (62 feet).
- Turn right (72 feet).
- Turn left (141 feet).
